Each Claude Code conversation on your PC shows up as a character, with the same title as in the Claude app.
Characters type while Claude works, raise a hand for approvals and wave when they are done. The tray icon and Windows notifications tell you too.
Carry on any conversation: tool calls, file diffs, approvals, plan reviews, slash commands, attachments, models and permission modes.
Group conversations into rooms and drag people between them. It only changes the office; your chats stay exactly as they are.
Start new chats in any project folder. Fire the ones you are done with; they wait in the archive until you rehire them.
Idle characters fetch coffee, look out of the window and gossip about their projects. Switch it off when it distracts you.
Run it. It installs for your user only, no admin rights needed. The installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows may say "Windows protected your PC": click More info, then Run anyway.

Yes. Every Claude Code conversation stored on that PC appears, whether you started it in the Claude desktop app's Code tab or in the terminal. Don't continue the same chat in two apps at the same time.
Only what your PC can open with your Windows account: local folders, mapped network drives and synced OneDrive or SharePoint folders. Claude asks before editing files or running commands unless you choose a different permission mode.
Claude Office checks this site when it starts and every few hours. It asks before downloading, and installs the update when you restart it. You can also check from the tray icon or in Settings.
